MaltaPost issued a set of six stamps featuring some of the Island’s most iconic buses which are no longer in operation. This set includes the first buses to have operated in Malta and Gozo as well as those that were used by the British Services and the British European Airways (BEA) and British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC). The stamps are reproductions of original artworks by local artist Cedric Galea Pirotta. The stamps have face value of 0.06, 0.10, 0.37, 0.52, 1.16 and 2.25 and depict the Airport Bus, Valletta St Julians Route, Victoria Hire Service, Royal Armed Forces Bus, Malta Police wcf courier Bus and Magirus -Deutz O3500 respectively.
