We booked an overnight at the Renn to catch up with our friends, see the updates and be downtown for a day. Things are looking really good there. If you would like forward me a private message and I will send you photos of the new room and restaurant. Other great changes are the private island. George boat driver, Jorge bar manager are both gone. One I could see coming. The Resturant is fabulous! New menu, bar area well defined, lounge area made and nice new menu. All good!! Didnt get to see Maluska as she was out sick but did get to chat with Tino... He looks great and is always fun to talk with. Black Pearl cruise from 3:30-6:30 was a class act. We booked on line before coming down. Captain Albert and Joann knew our names, all 24 passengers, in like 30 minutes. Wonderful secret punch was served and refilled, cut up watermelon, Dutch cheese sandwiches and grilled cheeses also. There was no throbbing loud music, no drunks etc. Very classy operation. We felt comfortable and welcome. Great lounge seats and small capacity made this a nice cruise. Safety of all passengers was of great concern when Jolly Prirate anchored way to close to our boat. i highly recommend this cruise, check It out soon!!
Renaissance postage calculator will always be near and dear to my heart......have visited it yearly since 1997.....but only one night this year as we're using the Surf Club for a change. Best of both worlds next year with one week of each. So very sorry to see Georges the boat driver gone. Even more sorry to see Jorge gone from the private island. Jorge was/is a good friend an I hope to find him elsewhere in Aruba. A great loss for Renaissance Island.
